Biographical Notes

Date of birth: May 3, 1955, Duluth, Minnesota

Wing Young Huie Wing Young Huie. Photographer. Attended Central High School, Minneapolis. B.A., journalism, University of Minnesota, 1979. Became a full time professional photographer in 1989. Exhibited in Unfinished History at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, 1998-99, and at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, 1998-99. His book Frogtown: Photographs and Conversations in an Urban Neighborhood (1996) was published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press. Contributor to the Minnesota 2000 documentary project. He is the recipient of a McKnight Photography Fellowship (1994) and a Bush Artist Fellowship (1996).
