The Minnesota state census index is provided in part by agreement with Ancestry.com and in part (particularly the 1895 entries) by MHS volunteers. Because of legibility problems with the original microfilm and resulting scans, portions of some counties were difficult to index. As a result many names were left off or only partially filled in. We continue to correct these problems and aim to improve the quality of the index over time. Meanwhile, we invite researchers to use the wotr feature of the index to add missing information.
